Course Overview

Duration:

• Study of the Safety Module: 33.5 hours at home
• Classroom Training with a Trainer: 16 hours

First Aid Training:

• 16 hours of Workplace First Aid Training (mandatory for certification in Quebec and Ontario)

Important Dates:

• November 8-24, 2023: Study the home safety module
• November 25-26, 2023 (Saturday and Sunday): Review of the safety module in class with a trainer

Location and Time (for the classroom session on November 25 and 26):

• Location: International Executive Response offices, 141 Jean-Proulx Street, Gatineau QC
• Time: 09:00 to 17:00 (attendance is mandatory)

Course Details

Study of the Safety Module

• Description: Comprehensive home study module covering all essential aspects of security guard responsibilities, including safety procedures, emergency response, and legal guidelines.
• Duration: 33.5 hours at home
• Materials Provided: Study guides, online resources, and practice quizzes.

Classroom Training

• Description: In-person training sessions to review the safety module with an experienced trainer, reinforcing key concepts and providing hands-on practice.
• Duration: 16 hours over two days (November 25-26, 2023)
• Location: International Executive Response offices, 141 Jean-Proulx Street, Gatineau QC

First Aid Training

• Description: 16-hour Workplace First Aid Training course required for certification in both Quebec and Ontario.
• Certification: Recognized by the CNESST in Quebec and required for the Ontario agent license.

Costs and Payment Terms

Agent Licence Certification (Ontario)

• Safety Agent Training: $300.00 plus taxes (invoice issued)
• Workplace First-Aid Training: Approximately $220 (certifies you as a first-aider in both Quebec and Ontario)
• Exam: $39.55 including taxes (Ministry of the Solicitor General of Canada)
• Licence: $80.00 including taxes (Government of Ontario)

Agent Quebec Permit Certification

• Security Agent Training: Exempt if you have successfully completed Ontario certification with ERO Sécurité (normally costs $560)
• Workplace Safety Training: Must be recognized by the CNESST in Quebec.
